A Farmer-Scientist Interface meeting was held on 25th April 2025 at Khukkham village of Kundam block, Jabalpur under the Farmer FIRST Programme. The meeting was led by Dr. P.K. Mukherjee, Principal Investigator of FFP, and coordinated by Co-PIs Dr. Deepak Pawar and Dr. Shreekanth Dasari.
A total of 20 farmers, including 11 Mahila Kisans, participated in the meeting. Dr. Deepak Pawar introduced the topic of discussion and shared insights on vegetable cultivation and its nutritional importance. Dr. P.K. Mukherjee discussed the germination status of mung bean seeds, which were distributed on 3rd April 2025, and explained the application process of Shaked (Propaquizafop + Imazethapyr) herbicide, along with the safety measures to be followed during its use in the mung crop.
He also interacted with the farmers to gather feedback on the crop’s progress. As part of the programme, Shaked herbicide was distributed to the 20 farmers as a critical input. The event was facilitated by Ms. Monika Raghuwanshi, SRF, FFP, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Deepak Pawar.
