A Site Committee Meeting along with field monitoring of greengram (mung bean) was organized on 21st May 2025 at Khukkham and Ranipur villages of Kundam block, Jabalpur under the Farmer FIRST Programme. The objective of this meeting was to assess the current status of the greengram crop sown in the farmers' fields and to provide necessary suggestions through direct interaction with the farmers regarding the crop’s progress.
The meeting was led by Dr. Deepak Pawar, Scientist and Co-PI of the Farmer FIRST Programme. The coordination of the event was done by Dr. Monika Raghuwanshi, Senior Research Fellow (SRF), FFP. A total of 17 farmers, including 9 Mahila Kisans, actively participated in the meeting. As part of the visit, Dr. Deepak Pawar personally inspected the greengram crop grown in the farmers’ fields. He interacted with the farmers to gather information about the crop’s current status, observed the field conditions, and based on the situation, provided technical suggestions for better crop management.
During the meeting, Dr. Pawar also informed the farmers about the upcoming awareness programme based on “Central and State Government Schemes dedicated to farmers” and encouraged them to participate actively in it to take full advantage of the available schemes and benefits.
