ICAR–DWR Organized Live Webcast of Release of 22nd Instalment of PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi

The ICAR–DWR, Jabalpur, organized a live webcast of the national programme for the release of the 22nd instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) on 13 March 2026. The programme enabled scientists, PM-KISAN beneficiary farmers, staff members, students, and other stakeholders to witness the national event and gain awareness about important government initiatives aimed at strengthening farmers’ welfare and agricultural development.

The national event was held at the Jyoti-Bishnu International Cultural Centre in Guwahati, Assam, where the 22nd instalment was released by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, shri Narendra Modi by transferring more than ₹18,640 crore directly to the bank accounts of over 9.32 crore farmers across the country through the Direct Benefit Transfer mechanism. With this instalment, the cumulative amount transferred under the PM-KISAN scheme has exceeded ₹4.09 lakh crore, demonstrating the Government of India’s continued commitment to providing income support to farmers.

At ICAR–DWR, the programme witnessed 229 participants in which 127 were male and 87 were women. The programme was presided over by the Hon’ble Director, Dr. J. S. Mishra and coordinated by Dr. P. K. Singh, Dr. V.K. Choudhary and Dr. Jamaludheen A., Scientists at ICAR–DWR.
