Under the ongoing Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) programme being implemented by ICAR-DWR, Jabalpur in Mandla district, a Kisan Sangosthi-cum-Input Distribution Programme was organized on 19 March 2026 in collaboration with ICAR-CIRB, Hisar at Dungariya village. The programme witnessed active participation from farmers of Mudadi, Dungariya, and Khuksar villages, with a total of 175 farmers (104 men and 71 women) attending the event, indicating encouraging involvement of women farmers. The programme commenced with a welcome address by the village Sarpanch, who welcomed the scientists and staff. The event was presided over by Dr. P. K. Singh, TSP Nodal Officer, ICAR-DWR, who interacted with farmers on the performance of rabi crops and discussed strategies for the forthcoming summer season.
Technical sessions were conducted by Dr. S. K. Phulia, Dr. Ashok Kumar Belhara, Dr. Gururaj, and Dr. Aiswarya of ICAR-CIRB, Hisar, who provided guidance on buffalo and livestock management, including vaccination, deworming, feeding practices, and artificial insemination, along with other scientific recommendations. During the programme, essential agricultural and livestock inputs such as blackgram seeds, agrochemicals, biofertilizers, mineral mixtures, dewormers, and milk cans, along with utility items including torches, multi-purpose ghamelas, umbrellas, and bags, were distributed to 100 registered tribal farmers to support their farming, livestock and allied livelihood activities.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. J. K. Soni, Dr. Jamaludheen A., and Dr. S. I. Kuwardadra, with technical support from Mr. M. K. Meena and Mr. S. K. Boss of ICAR-DWR.
